[ Good evening, Barge. Yen Sid is sitting in his room, as he was the first time he made an entry. The candle on his desk burns brightly, and in the background, one can see a few of his gifts arranged neatly on a wooden dresser. Right now, he appears to be pouring over a tablet with great interest.
Finally, he looks at the camera, and addresses the Barge. ]First of all, I wish to thank all of you who gave me gifts.
[ His expression softens slightly. ] The sentiment is very much appreciated.
[ Usually, Mickey's the only one who tries to bring him presents so he didn't really expect to get anything.
His expression grows serious once more. ]Secondly, there is a matter I have given much thought to since my arrival here.
Given the number of individuals here with extraordinary capabilities, I have considered the viability of hosting sessions that will allow the residents here -- Inmates and Wardens alike -- to exercise these talents without the restrictions.
[ A pause, to let that sink in. ]That is to say, those Inmates whose abilities were reduced upon arrival would have the opportunity to use them in a constructive way without the usual "cap".
[ He strokes his beard. ]I do understand the necessity of certain safeguards as well as supervision. I will also be unable to accept any Inmate who does not first have the permission of their Warden to participate in such activities.
However, I do believe this has the capacity to be positive, for Wardens as well as Inmates.
Should any of you be interested, my door is always open.
